ToxiPoll
Toxic effects of herbicides on pollen physiology

ToxiPoll investigates the impact of herbicides (e.g. glyphosate) on pollen physiology of plants occurring in the natural vegetation. We hypothesise that prolonged use of herbicides is already compromising pollen viability/germination of wild plant species, hampering reproduction, endangering species survival, causing biodiversity loss, and amplifying the negative effects of climate change. The results will provide first information for policy makers to promote a sustainable use of herbicides.
